Our Early Childhood program is modelled around a carefully-structured sequence of songs and activities.  Children aged 0-3 and 3-5 years participate in weekly group classes with their parents, learning a wide range of musical skills. The program focuses on the development of key social skills and physical and cognitive abilities, all in a fun and nurturing environment.

Over the course of this class, students will begin to have greater rhythmic awareness, a musical ear, learn about new musical instruments, musical terms, and most importantly, have fun! We do this through songs and different activities and we encourage you to sing along.

 

Students will be exposed to many instruments to see which one they gravitate towards and learn the basic skills needed to start learning an instrument after graduation.

Here are some expectations for our Early Childhood Music Class. 

 

We respectfully ask that:

• One parent must attend and sit with their child while the class is going on. Please makes sure to engage and sing with them to nurture their learning. 

• Only the child that is enrolled in the class can be present. A parent can accompany up to two children enrolled in the class. 

• If at any time a child becomes a disruption to the class, please quietly step out until they are ready to participate again. This happens and we totally understand that it is normal for this age group

• Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class.

• Please let us know if you will not be able to attend. You can do so by contacting us directly, or through our online portal.

COVID-19 protocols  

• We kindly ask that if you or your child is feeling unwell (fever, cough, sore throat etc..), or if you have been exposed to someone with covid-19, to please stay home. 

• All classes will have designated instruments only used in their class every week. They will be stored in a bin to be disinfected every week.
