Let's get you ready for an online lesson!

At Katie's Music studio we use ZOOM as our online video platform.

Just a few tips for online lessons:

- ZOOM settings: 

1) go into your audio settings

2) turn off automatically adjust microphone

3) under music and professional audio, make sure High-Fidelity music mode is clicked 

- the bigger the screen, the better 

- save your teachers zoom link somewhere on your device for easy access 

- set an alarm for your lesson to keep on routine

- set up in a quiet place close to the router so the internet connection is strong. Try to get a good angle where your teacher can clearly see your instrument and you   

- for vocal students, it is great to have a second device to play music on to sing to. If the teacher plays the music, it will be out of sync  

- email us your sheet music if your teacher may not have it 

- keep us updated on your troubles and songs you would like to learn. We are here to support you!
